Section VII – Military Honors and Traditions

The Nation of Dova shall maintain ceremonial ranks, uniforms, and traditions to honor the spirit of defense and patriotism, regardless of the absence of formal armed conflict.

  1. Name of the Dovan Defense Force:

a.  The Imperial Guard of the Nation of Dova

b.  Pledge: “Honor Without Hostility”

d. Uniform & Symbols:

Uniform Colors: Sky blue with gold trim, symbolizing vigilance and sovereignty.

 

e. Headgear: Military style hat with Dovan crest.

f.  Ceremonial Weapon: Wooden staff or symbolic sword (non-functional, for parade use only).

g.  Insignia: Dova Flag, representing our motto, “Deus Vult”.

 

 

h.  Ceremonial Duties:

    • Parades and National Day Events
    • Guarding the Dovan Banner at Events
    • Hosting Diplomats and Micronation Guests
    • Participating in Honorary Drills and Rituals
    • Maintaining the “Watch of Vigilance” (symbolic rotation of citizen-guards)

i.  Ceremonial Oath:

“I pledge to defend the sovereignty of the Nation of Dova, not with violence, but with vigilance, honor, and steadfast spirit.”

j.  Medals & Awards:

  • Order of the Coquí – For loyalty and service
  • Shield of Dova – For defense of territory or dignity
  • Crown of Vigilance – For exceptional dedication to ceremonial roles

k.  Id Cards and other documents:

 All potential Imperial Guard members must fill out security papers for a background check and be approved by the Emperor.  Once approved, all members of the Imperial Guard must carry an Identification Card at all times for security purposes.
